Some questions: 1) What does the vrml interface require that is not needed by other 3D visualization functions? Is it possible that you would want something like the plplot setup, where you are replacing the graph viewer but using the usual interface to manipulate it? 2) How does the interface compare to the matlab VR toolkit? Is there any point to trying to match their interface? 3) Are there alternative VR's to VRML?
