My priority is to construct a package which Dirk can add to Debian. Grabbing things piecemeal is not appropriate for those of us with slow internet connections. Automating upload/download has merit. Anyone know if sf projects can host specialized cgi scripts? I presume we would have a client process which keeps a local copy of the SF tree, and accepts commands to update the client tree, request new functions, request entire packages, post new functions or post entire packages. The server process would have to keep track of dependencies. Is there already code around to do this sort of thing? > > BTW, I am planing to do a file release of octave-gpc next week.
