Is your version based > on FreeBSD or OpenBSD? (Are they different?) ocf-linux is based on the FreeBSD version, which is based on the OpenBSD version. A link off the ocf-linux home page points to a paper on the changes in the FreeBSD version, which seemed reasonable, and prompted using that version. http://www.usenix.org/publications/library/proceedings/bsdcon03/tech/leffler_crypto/leffler_crypto.pdf Just checked the code and yes, it does do session based load balancing. Just search for cc_sessions in crypto.c, easy to see it looking for the best driver to use, and using cc_sessions (number of sessions per driver) to find a better match.
