Port at least the core of the engine to POSIX, so it
would run everywhere, including -- thru CygWin -- under
Windows.

Windows is the native platform already. To get Linux
support, the project would need a volunteer who understands
    either Nasm or Wine.

For a RDBMS to be taken seriously, you really need it
    natively in POSIX.

The request is to rewrite the source code so it would be
POSIX compliant. As administrator of the project, I am
marking this "low priority" with great regret.
