Hi. I am trying to bring up a torus robotic telescope in India. I am using OCAAS for controling the telescope and Apogee AP8 PCI camera(Redhat 7.2). Although the camera and OCAAS are working independently. I am not able to integrate the Apogee camera with the OCAAS software. I am getting the following error when I run the camera daemon camerad ------------------------------------------------------------- 20050319094251: DRIVER = /usr/local/telescope/dev/ccdcamera 20050319094251: AUXCAM = 0 20050319094251: Error fetching camera temperature 20050319094251: Can not get cooler temp -1 Final error20050319094251: Camera <- Final error -------------------------------------------------------------- The driver kernel module is VER 0.7 and the link to the camera driver is -------------------------------------------------------------- lrwxrwxrwx 1 ocaas ocaas 11 Mar 19 02:28 ccdcamera -> /dev/appci0 -------------------------------------------------------------- I would really appreciate any help I am able to get Dorje Angchuk > |

Hi colisters, first of all, I would like to congratulate Tony Steidler-Dennison for making Talon available to the community. I'm enrolled in a project for refurbishing a 50cm f/1 Baker-Nunn camera for CCD use, both in remote and robotic modes (more info at http://www.racab.es/fabra/bnc/eng.htm ). Talon is one of the options we are considering as control package, as the motion controller we own is the OMS PC48 (compatible with pc39 driver in Talon). First step we are undertaking for adapting Talon to our hardware setting is to update pc39.c driver to 2.4.x kernel (now it works for 2.2). I am newbie in programming linux device drivers, so any experience report or more generic suggestion on behalf this would be very welcome. Thanks in advance, ================================================================= Octavi Fors Astronomy Department University of Barcelona Barcelona SPAIN e-mail: of...@am... ================================================================= |
