Attached is a xls file with proposed PATO modifications for primary color hues with derived from hsv values (hue, saturation, value). This is in support of a paper in press concerning color image annotation and searching, which is the product of a recent Rubenstein Fellowship with Encyclopedia of Life. We would like the PATO URIs for submission of the paper, as the data is going directly to EOL's TraitBank. The focus of these updates is to include primary hues in degrees that can be used for color point analysis and color annotation as they represent visual color that can be collected from images. We also propose mid range terms for those hues that fall in between the primary hue values and are easily identified by people wanting to describe the color of an image.
Thanks for your help.

we have found what appears to be a typo on the Wikipedia page for "Orange." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orange_%28colour%29)
The HSV values were written as (39°, 100%, 100%). However, in the text it says "In optics, orange is the colour seen by the eye when looking at light with a wavelength between approximately 585–620 nm. It has a hue of 30° in HSV colour space." The citation in the information box also says the source is the "HTML Colour Chart @30" and leads to information noting 30 as the correct number. Based on this and our own information, I am editing the Wikipedia page to reflect the proper value. My edit note in the page history reads:
We have updated the attached spreadsheet with the error corrected. Additionally the updated spreadsheet includes EOL provided URIs for terms not presently in PATO.
