Headline: registry:  recursive unlink
Description: Originally, when designing the registry, I decided to on the pedantic approach to unlink()'ing nodes with children (in the case that the path being unlinked is the last ref to that subtree in the registry).  But I've seen many uses for the pattern of unlinking a parent node, (for example, in the window mgmt plugins), so it is probably best to add an option to unlink() to perform a recursive unlink.
