Headline: performance: shared-member table
Description: if instead of using a table to map name -> variable, we map to slot-idx, then we can share the table between all instances of that particular scope.  The table can be cached in the CompiledNodeEvaluator instance.  Perhaps that would mean we should delegate more of the function call process to the NodeEvaluator, which would be an interface change.
