Several years ago I started the New World OS project (http://sourceforge.net/projects/nwos) to try to re-think the whole Operating System. When I started working on it, I decided it would be easier to create it from the top down, instead of the bottom up. That way I could easily test my ideas out before creating an entire operating system underneath.
So I started creating code to test my ideas running on top of GNU/Linux. While I still want to eventually have an entire system based on my ideas, I have decided it is useful running on top of another operating system (GNU/Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, etc.).
Because the code currently is running on top of another OS, I have decided to move it from the New World OS project into a separate project on SourceForge called Objectify.
Since I never started the Feature Requests in the New World OS project I decided to just start them in the Objectify project instead of moving them later.
So right now the project is straddling both the New World OS (NWOS) project and the Objectify project. The CVS is still on NWOS and I hope to move it to SVN on Objectify in the near future. The releases are on NWOS for now as well. I will try to move the Bug Tracker to Objectify soon.
