[ojb-users] ObjectCache and legacy applications

How long does the ObjectCache keep objects cached?  

I ask this because my application retreives pricing information from a
legacy database that may get updated by legacy apps without informing
objectbridge.

Another question is can I diasable ObjectCache all together?  I use JCS as
my caching system so the ObjectCache is redundant for me in many cases.
