I work in a school in the UK, and your project has exactly what I need for the library staff side of things, but is it already available or will be availble a feature so that I can have a page via the Internet that students can login/view what books are available for them to hire out. At the moment the library has to save the files then copy a copy of the database (some old access thing some student made for her) onto a computer for people to view the books, but this isn't practical for the amount of changes that go on thoughout the day.
If this could be possible I would also love to add it within our own project Karoshi (www.karoshi.org.uk) along with phpnuke for the internet/intranet site and moodle for the online classroom.
Sure you can. I have that working for our local library. After installing OpenBiblio, you use your browser to view
I have the router / firewall at the library set to forward inquiries for port 80 to the internal server for this purpose. But if you do this, be sure to inforce all the passwords, and PHP security features.
You can see what I have set up at http://www.shaw-public.lib.me.us/
The card catalog feature is the link labeled "what we have".
Thanks for your reply. I will definitely being including in the project now!!
Many thanks again!
