My library is in Bangalore, India. My users are in India. My server is hosted in the US. Wouldn't I want them to display the date in the city where the library is located?
If possible, I'd also like to change all timestamps with an offset so that it reflects the local time.
Right now, I've changed the code myself so that it works for me.

Needless to say, "today's date" should display the local user's date, not that of the server's.
I'm curious. Why would you want the user's date. Wouldn't you want the date that the server is using to timestamp check-in check-out times, etc?
