I appologize in advance if this is a naive question or if it has already been answered here, but after about an hour of looking I could not find it..., I am on a shared host and apparently there is another user with an openbiblio db set up as I get the message "User name, "openbiblio" has already been taken" when I try to create the db. i can make a db with a million different names, I just dont know how or what to tweek to adjust for the name change,
help would be greatly appreciated.

You say the message is "USER name ... has already been taken"
Try to create the user name with a different_user_name and then change 'database_constants.php':
