PubMed ID is a subclass of the defined class denotes only 'publication about an investigation', which in turn is a subclass of the defined class 'is about' some 'investigation'. Investigation is defined in terms of producing conclusions. This entails that everything that is indexed in PubMed is about an investigation that produces conclusions. But opinon pieces, case studies, reports of the production of data sets are examples of items that can be PubMed indexed that do not fit this definition. We would like to use PubMed ID for modeling articles that report the production of a data set (but do not necessarily involve and investigation that produces a scientific conclusion).
