Also, ontobee doesn't show the class of the instance so we really have no
clue about what it is if we only look at ontobee. This should probably be
fixed in ontobee.
This is a good call.
We will examine how to fix it in Ontobee.

We should have a larger discussion about this issue of how OBI might re-use and recommend standards such as this that provide identifiers/IRIs for instances in the world such as organizations.

+1 fair enough, will add link + def.
thx
March 13, 2016 call. Note that it now shows up as an instance. Still need to add link and def.
I see that there are 36 organization individuals in the OBI file - most of which represent companies or vendors. We should consider ongoing efforts in the larger world to generate and maintain shared, unambiguous, and stable URIs for things like organizations that we could draw upon here, rather than creating new identifiers in the OBI space.
One in particular is the Digital Science GRID effort (https://grid.ac/institutes), where an identifier already exists for the Waters organization (https://grid.ac/institutes/grid.422530.2), as well as many other of the companies currently in OBI. For example, Illumina (OBI:0000759) = https://grid.ac/institutes/grid.185669.5.
We should have a larger discussion about this issue of how OBI might re-use and recommend standards such as this that provide identifiers/IRIs for instances in the world such as organizations.
