For the IEDB use case, we have an MHC multimer assay, which we would like to subclass under the more generic 'flow cytometry assay' or something like that. I thought we had 'cell sorting' and 'cell counting' in the file, but I can't seem to find it. Before I add anything, I wanted to check if Melanie / Ryan et al have not already modeled this.

We have sort and count function. Shall those be respectively realized in the processes you mention Bjoern?

I was referring to the material separation process 'cell sorting' and the assay 'cell counting' which we used to have in the file but I can't find any longer. I am not certain about the functions; I thought we would use the generic 'material separation function' and 'measurement function', and point out what they do specifically in the realization.

Moreover, I was mainly asking if you had done any work on this already or not? I thought you were working on modeling flow cytometry, and I did not want to duplicate if you have it done already.

I don't remember those proceses or working on them, so go ahead. Regarding the function I would think that those allow us to do queries like "which flow cytometer can I use to sort cells", whereas having only the process would not make this possible.

Call 10/17: The assays now exist in OBI. closing this item.
