#11 hang at startup with o2em-101 on winxp sp2

using the bios from here:
http://www.videogamearchive.com/emu/o2_rom.htm

and the pickax pete from the G7400 (VideoPac) ROMS link
on the same page.

when I run using:

K:\mame\Burn\Odyssey2\bin>o2em "..\roms\Pick Axe Pete
PLUS (E) (1982)(Philips) [!].bin"

The app starts windowed, and you can see the text
"SELECT GAME". BUT.... on the top 1/3 of the screen
covering it is the color grey... and... the sound is
stuck playing the last sample buffer.

If I use o2em-70, then this game works.

Same problem for all games I've tried so far.

I'm using Direct X 9.0b by the way... With GeForce FX 5800
with 256 Mb... pentium 4 2.26Ghz... ASUS motherboard with
on board audio.

Also, this problem happens with the -nosound option, and
with the -fullscreen option.
