I just got iCommand running on a Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC. I downloaded the Mysaifu JVM and Javacomm, then uploaded the regular icommand.jar file to Pocket PC, along with a test class to run motors and the icommand.properties file. It works fine without any changes and it uses the same compiled bytecode classes as the PC. So from what I can tell there's no real reason to branch the project into two parts for mobile user as long as they can use Mysaifu. We can just give them directions on how to upload that to Windows Mobile. Stefano, is there any reason to use CLDC over Mysaifu? Does CLDC give us a broader range of mobile devices? I'm still uncertain what JVM they use in conjunction with CLDC. - Brian |
