While nxcEditor is excellent and easy to use, it still needs manual downloading and copying of 32-bit nxc and nexttool binaries. It also needs ia32-libs (or dpkg -add-architecture i386) to work on 64-bit Linux.
Since nxc/nbc is open source (http://sourceforge.net/projects/bricxcc/files/NBC_NXC/), would it be possible to integrate this code into nxcEditor (thus also removing the 32-bit dependency) ?
I don't consider this urgent in any way, but it would give first time installers a nice polished impression of nxcEditor.
Thank you for this important hint - I'm using no 64-bit-Linux (the hint has been added to the website).
I've tested a 64-bit Linux yesterday and compiled NBC with fpc - it's working. I hope nexttool will work too …
NXC/NBC is coded in Delphi/Pascal and nxcEditor in Gambas - the translation would be too time consuming for me …
Now there are 32-bit and 64-bit versions of nbc and nexttool.
Now nbc and nexttools are included and it is no longer necessary to install the programs.
