[Numpy-discussion] cygwin problems?

A user (see below) has complained that svd and other functions hang on 
cygwin, with numarray and Numeric. Anyone know anything about this?

I tried the svd of numarray, version 0.6.2,  I did not download the 
newest version of
numarray,  and still the same problem happen, it hanged on my cygwin box.

I've also, noticed that calculating the eigenvalues of a square matrix 
with Numeric also
hang the python 2.3  I wonder if the problem is related....

Let me know, if you have some idea of what to do next.
