Thanks Peauru for the info. I tried to install the FreeBSD vtk port, but it won't compile. It ran for an hour and then crashed. I did install it on windows so we'll see how that works today. I've been focusing most of my effort to port Animabob to Cygwin. I am very impressed with Cygwin so far as its XFree86 was easy to set up with no XFree86config.
