[Numpy-discussion] more bdist_mpkg issues (setuptools)

Now that I figured out how to get at bdist_mpkg, I am experiencing  
issues with building extensions. I am trying to set them up as before  
with distutils except with the following import statement:

from setuptools import setup, Extension

However, my f2py extension is not recognized:

building 'PyMC.flib' extension
error: unknown file type '.f' (from 'PyMC/flib.f')

Any pointers to what I might be missing are most appreciated.
