 Numix - Banshee Tray Icons - README
=====================================

"Numix - Banshee Tray Icons" is a icon set for the Linux GNOME-shell, whose purpose is to be used as tray icons for the music player "Banshee". The icon pack ships with different icons, that visualize all possible states, the application may be in. It contains a default icon, a icon, that is shown when the play has been stopped and an icon, that indicates when an audio- or video-stream is buffered.

This icon set has been created to be used together with the GTK-theme "Numix". It has been designed to optically fit into the appearance of the "Numix"-theme and therefore it contains graphics, which have been taken from the accompanying "Numix-uTouch"-icon theme. The "Numix-uTouch"-icon theme must be installed in the folder '/usr/share/icons/Numix', otherwise this icon set will not work.

 Installation
==============

For using the icon set in coincidence with the "Numix"-theme, the svg-files, that are contained by the subdirectories inside this package, have to be extracted to the homonymous folders inside the directory '/usr/share/icons/Numix/status'. For installing the icon set, the shell script INSTALL.sh can be used. This script, that has to be executed as root, automatically copies all relevant files to the appropriate folders of the "Numix-uTouch"-icon theme and replaces the original files. When using the bash script, the installation of this icon set is possible by running the following commands in a terminal (the name of the zip-file maybe has to be adjusted to the actual version of the release):

$ unzip numix-banshee-tray-icons-v.1.0.zip
$ cd numix-banshee-tray-icons
$ sudo ./INSTALL.sh

Since version 3.0, GNOME does not support program tray icons in the shell's top panel anymore. Nevertheless, showing the tray icons of applications such like "Banshee", that offer this functionality, can be forced by using  a GNOME-shell extension such like "Topicons", which is available via the following URL:
