Just an idea, but here it goes : I'm working in an small
isp and we've found dotnetnuke just great for our
customers. It would be great though if this tool would
have capability to install full dnn by calling from
dotnetnuke module. That means that it would be easy to
put up a blog site where users could create their own
sites and basically no interference from isp itself. Also
other scenarios would be possible if there was an easy
web interface with wizard kind of functionality.
Another idea would be to do post-installation tasks like
to install custom private assemblies (we install
ALWAYS FormCreators etc.), skins, containers,
content files, language packs etc. I know that this could
be done by packing up portal but with the first
experience to users should be something else but
the "bulk" DNN installation screen.
Thanks for good job already.
Sincerely,

Tommi,
Have you used DNN 3.x yet? One of the best features is to
export a portal as a template (with or without content). If you
have installed any PAs, skins, etc. they will be included as
well.
The next time you add a new portal, you can select your
tempate from the list of available templates. It is an
extremely easy and efficient way to duplicate a portal
configuration.
Now that you've mentioned it, there might be a way to select
a template during initial installation. That would be the best of
both worlds, Nukeleus might be able to do it, without
changeing the DNN core. I"m really not sure.
