    Hi,
nufraw_0.42-1_amd64.deb is build on Ubuntu Xenial. To run it on Debian you must compile from sources.

Tried to install from nufraw-0.42.tar.gz but got this report:
configure: error: Package requirements (lcms2) were not met
    Could not install lcms2_2.8.orig.tar.gz because
configure: error: Package requirements (gtkimageview >= 1.6) were not met
Could not install gtkimageview_1.6.4+dfsg.orig.tar.gz and gave up because ufraw works.

Questions about the nUFRaw (0.40) which came along with GIMP 2.10.5 AppImage. Debian 9.
Image zoom percentage 14 suits my raw files and my monitor -- but I must set it manually each time. "Store user default" does nothing to this.
The settings under Options -> Configuration cannot be changed.
I cannot make the "spot white balance" option under "White Balance" do anything.
    Help shall be appreciated.

    Hi Mukul,
the zoom setting is saved in ~/nufrawrc-ui file (hidden file inside your home folder). If it doesn't work on your system it could be a bug (it happens)
To use the spot white balance you must first select a spot on the image using the color picker cursor (top right of the window) and then press the button. Let me know if it works for you.

I can now use spot white balance. Thank you. A little awkward, though, having two eye-droppers far apart -- and the hand-shaped picker is not particularly accurate.
There is a hidden file called .nufrawrc, but that only stores information about my camera. Perhaps you speak of a version of nUFRaw later than the one I have, or else of a GIMP other than the AppImage which I have.

On a separate partition I have Manjaro Linux, which came with GIMP 2.10.4 and nUFRaw 0.42. The zoom setting cannot be saved there either, and there is a .nufrawrc file but none which ends with "-ui".
