#1 FancyText interferes with hyperlinks

I'm using version 1.55. Today I noticed that a certain
type of links included in a comment are not
'translated' properly in it's short form. I think this
has something to do with the underscores in it.

Example:
http://www.jonathanlynn.com/tv/yes_minister_series/yes_minister_episode_quotes.htm

becomes:
http://www.jonathanlynn.com/tv/yes<em>_minister_</em>series/yes<em>_minister_episode_</em>quotes.htm

Is this a known problem? Anyone knows how to tackle this?
