Hi Tobias > I uploaded a "Mach Kernel" image with Sarge installer to my webspace: > "http://home.vrweb.de/internetzel/Mach Kernel" > I hope that kernel image will boot on your machine. Sorry, it doesn't. I got the same error as with the miboot-image. The kernel loads to "Welcome to Linux..." and stops with "IBAT3L :0x0080007f" after a few lines of output. Any guesses? Because of having the same trouble with different installers but same kernel and remembering kernels for YDL-3.0 are working on my maschine I guess this actual kernel must have some different option not compiled with...? BTW: a question: after that line: what's following in the boot process if anything goes right? > You will have to adjust the MkLinux Bootloader configuration to > something > like this: > mach_options=keyboard_sends_linux_keycodes=1 ramdisk=16384 devfs=mount I tried different options as before. Since devfs doesn't alter the result described above i guess this is to mount the dev-filesystem? I haven't read about this option in any of the nubus-docs yet. > Perhaps you will also need to add a "video=..." argument. Well, usually I use just "video=ariel2fb" but I'm not really sure if it matters. Thanks, Claus. |
