Hello Tobias, i am quite new on using Debian on the pb1400. I am more familiar with SuSE Linux on PC's. Therfore I am not able to copy the output from dmesg and post it here. But maybe the following helps. I habe downloaded the kernel from Florian Boelstler's web site which is the G3 Kernel with Media Bay support. dmesg report the following: PowerMac Z88530 serial driver version 2.0.1 tty00 at 0x80f04002 (irq = 2) is a Z8530 ESCC tty01 at 0x80f04000 (irq = 2) is a Z8530 ESCC, port = infrared (IrDA) . . . trex: XXX enabling card interupts trex: XXX enabling card interupts trex: XXX enabling card interupts trex: XXX enabling card interupts the command cardctl ident reports the following: Socket 0: product info: Lucent Venus, PCMCIA 56k DataFax manfid: 0x0200, 0x0001 function: 2 (serial) cardctl config reports; Socket 0: not configured So at least the card is detected and identified.
