#30 Debug continues after being disabled

In order to do some testing I enabled ntlmaps to perform debugging (i.e. setting the debug flag to '1' in the server.cfg file).
I have disabled this function by setting it back to '0' but the out data is still being generated. I have tried recreating the cfg file but no luck.
Can someone suggest how to disable this function permanently? Is this a known bug?
