#7 The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is inco

I got the error "The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect."

This was on a Windows 2003 server and i'm not sure why it came on some of the links i made and not on others that were very similar.

I fixed it by recreating the junction points.

I saw another person having the same error message with junction points that had an explanation:

It's probably not directly an ntfslink issue, but it could probably be avoided if ntfslink makes sure it doesn't happen.
