Category: Modern UI Group: 2.0 Series Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Maik Wiege (mswiege) Assigned to: Joost Verburg (joostverburg) Summary: Vista Icon breaks Uninstaller Initial Comment: Hello! Have the following problem with current version 2.38: If I add an icon with a 256x256 dimension (Vista icon) to my installer AND uninstaller, the installer gets compiled fine, but the resulting uninstaller will be an corrupted exe. It has no Icon (Windows default) and if executed the command box opens for a second and closes without any output. And some really strange stuff: If I remove the 256x256 icon from the uninstaller icon, the uninstaller.exe is still currupt. If I than remove the 256x256 icon from the installer icon too, the uninstaller finally gets compiled correct. I also tried versions of compressed and uncompressed vista icons but this made no difference. Recapitulation: Installer always compiles fine with vista icons, but uninstaller gets corrupted if one icon or both contain a vista icon. To get a valid uninstaller both icons have to be 256x256 icon free. :-( Only tested with modern UI, so MUI_ICON and MUI_UNICON constants.
