is there a ay to modify the CheckServiceState function to report if any service(s) set to state=auto is stopped?
i found a wsf script that does this, but it causes a command line black box to appear for a sec when its run...and it gets in the way when we're working locally on the server.

rather then using "started" and stopped, it might be worthwhile to use a number on min and max occurences, such as "1,2" meaning at least one and no more then two processes running, or "0,0" or "0" to mean not running, or "1,1" or "1" meaning exactly one running.
