NSB Entropy Estimation / News: Recent posts

Many small errors corrected in the C++ implementation, thanks to many active users.

This release corrects multiple bugs, mostly left over from Octave-to=MatLab conversion.

I've released versions 1.1 of the C++ and Octave code. The main changes are:

C++ -- data partitioning for bias testing.
Octave -- code has been formatted to run on MatLab as well.

I am releasing the NSB estimator under GPL.

The current version of the software should compile on Mac OS X (probably, any version, though it is explicitely tested only on 10.3) with GSL and GMP libraries installed (use fink to get those).
