#3 inetd not workable on UNIX (zero bytes)

On all our UNIX-Systems (without SSL)
we got the following output at remote calling of an
NRPE-Command on port 5666:

CHECK_NRPE: Received 0 bytes from daemon.
Check the remote server logs for error messages.

The serverlog has no entries

The Demon works well, it seemed, that the pipe is not
served correctly. The Workaround was, that we wrote
autostart scripts starting the NRPE-Demon at system
startup.

- IBM-AIX 4.3
- IBM-AXI 5.1
- HP-UX 11.11 (32 and 64 bit, PA-RISC 1.1 and 2.0)
- Solaris 2.6
- Solaris 8
