Hi Roland,
This is a follow-up on ticket #11. I wanted to add this as a comment on that ticket but i think SF doesn't support editing the ticket when it was closed.
Your new version did recognize and install the BLE plugin for Wireshark 2.x. However, when Wireshark is open, it does not recognize the sniffed packets as BLE protocols. I found that the reason being the plugin was not installed in the correct place. It was installed at .wireshark/plugins while Wireshark 2.x only recognizes this plugin when i put it inside Wireshark.app/Contents/PlugIns/wireshark. After that, the BLE packets are recognized just fine.

After all, thanks a lot for your effort to build this tool. It really helps me a lot.
Regards,
Hoang

The plugin is installed in ~/.wireshark/plugins on my machine and it's recognized and works fine. You can't install them in Wireshark.app/Contents/Plugins/wireshark, that's the app itself. User plugins are installed in ~/.wireshark/plugins. Please check your settings, if your's isn't loading from there, that's an error, that is the correct directory.

Here's the wireshark support document (a little old but still relevant) telling you what all the support directories are.

    https://www.wireshark.org/docs/wsug_html_chunked/ChAppFilesConfigurationSection.html

that shows the the personal plugins directory is, as it always was, $HOME/.wireshark/plugins.

I took a screenshot of my 'About Wireshark' (attached) showing where the personal plugins directory is on my machine and the plugins tab showing where the nordic dissector is loaded from. You're going to have to take a look at your machine and see why it's different.
