Crashes on plugin start with Notepad++ v6.7 update
Brought to you by:

As of Notepad++ v6.7 (on Windows 8 64-bit), RegEx Helper crashes immediately on start (pressing Ctrl-F12 or through menu) with error message "Unknown exception". "PluginsManager::runPluginCommand Exception" is in the title bar of the error popup. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling without change to that error condition.
Please restore this plugin as I use it often!
Thank you!
Bill Smith
Please fix this! (win7 x64)

I am having the same exact problem as Bill and have tried the same remediation techniques as described, but to no avail.
I am running NotePad++ on Windows 7 64-bit.
I use this plugin A LOT, can you please fix this.
Thank you.
Same here.
Also Win7 64
Thanks für fixing it.
This has been fixed. Please download version 0.2.3
Yes, it works now (on Notepad++ v6.7.5)
Thanks a lot!
Please upload version 0.2.3
to the Notepad++ repository
(that still has 0.2.2 yet)
Diff:
Verified! No longer crashes on launch for me (NP++ v6.7.7).
Yes it works.
Thanks a lot.
It works perfectly fine on NPP v6.7.8.1
Thanks a lot for fixing this.
It (or Notepad++ ?) broke again with the update to Notepad++ v6.7.9. The update insists on disabling the RegEx Helper plugin, as it usually does, so I just move the plugin back into the plugin directory, like I usually do. But both Ctrl-F12 and running from the Plugins directory, the plugin crashes.
Any update on this? Notepad v6.8.3 and RegEx Helper v0.0.2.2, still crashing when I attempt to start it up.
Bill,
As I mentioned earlier, you need to update to version 0.2.3. The team responsible for the Plugin Manager has not updated the list. I submitted a request a few months ago but nothing ever came of it.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/nppregexhelper/files/0.2.3
You absolutely did mention that before, and I apologize for my confusion! I didn't realize Plugin Manager would downgrade it. I'll definitely keep an eye on it now!
