    I just got a new HD in my laptop, and I'm trying to get everything installed again. Having zero luck with PythonScript, though. When I got it before, it was in the Plugin Manager days. I've found lots of advice here and there, and tried everything people have suggested, but without success. I have downloaded PythonScript. I have put pythonScript.dll everywhere people have mentioned in related posts - it's in C:/ProgramData/Notepad++/plugins. It's in C:/Program Files/Notepad++/plugins. It's in C:/Program Files (x86)/Notepad++/plugins. The plugin folder is also in all 3 places now... and it still doesn't load into Notepad++. Someone said something about importing it, via settings->Import->Import plugins which wants a file so I tried selecting the dll but that wasn't right and I can't see a different file that would work to import. IDK what else to try!

    This took some work to figure out, but I finally got it.

    Apparently starting with v7.6.0 the DLL location requirement changed.

    The install of the PythonScript needs to change where it drops the DLL file for the plugin.

    The install places the PythonScript.dll file in this folder:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++\plugins

    Move PythonScript.dll to this folder
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Notepad++\plugins\PythonScript

    Restart NP++ and you should have the PythonScript available in the Plugins drop down menu
