Error "Plugin Not Compatible with This Version ..."

When I install (e.g., MSI, zip) and then run Notepad++ (Windows 7, 6.6.8) I get the error "Plugin not compatible ...". I'd love to use this sweet plugin. How do I fix it.
When you use the MSI, make sure you specify the "notepad++" directory for installation, not the plugins directory. e.g. "c:\Program Files\Notepad++"
Other than that, after the installation, make sure the python27.dll is in the Notepad++ directory, and the PythonScript.dll is in the plugins directory.
