The backup was created by Notepad++. Still, the other notifications are quite annoying. Anyways to disable those? Thanks.
I mainly work on command line and deal with console apps. Often though, I need to open a file to do a quick edit using Notepad++. npplauncher was extremely useful as a launching utility from command line. However, the new version of npplauncher has too many things. It creates a backup file, notification, etc. These features create major annoyances as I would have to spend time to deal with notification, and removing backup files. For my git version controlled files, these backups creates major headaches...
Default version updated. In case of any trouble please create a ticket here: https://sourceforge.net/p/npplauncher/tickets/ BTW this tool allows to avoid the nasty git integration of single doc mode in notepad++ in your gitconfig!!! You can use full features tabs etc. and still git commit call will wait for your editing to finish! Install npplauncher and replace git config --global core.editor to simply old notepad: git config --global core.editor notepad.exe And enjoy the full feature set of Notepad++...

Hi All, while working again on the AppLauncher, I found a quite convenient way to enable and disable the function "WaitForClose". WaitForClose means, that the process calling notepad.exe is in normal case expecting, that the process return means, that the corresponding file was saved and closed. (This is the behavior of notepad.exe.) When now routing the call for edit to Notepad++ this would normally not block, because of NPP's nature. So WaitForClose emulates this behavior by putting th eprocess...

I plan to find some time for this tool over this winter time. Plan is to fix / support 64 bit as well as this change of NPP plugin directory positioning since NPP7.6. Regards, Mattes
Hi, I'm not yet completely clear what this error is about, but I anyway have to make a new release for the modified version of storing plugins since NPP 7.6. I have some hope that during winter time - when the nights are long - I'll find soem time to work on this . Any suggestions making my work quicker, are highly welcome, as I'm not en expert in Win10 system topics ;-) Regards, Mattes
