I have downloaded the NppGTags_v4.4.0_X64.zip from sourceforge site. On extracting, Symantec flags security error and quarantines the global.exe. Could you pls confirm if there are no security risk with this file. I have attached the snapshot of Symantec popup.

Symantec (as well as other antivirus programs) sometimes reports security risks based on guesses (heuristics) or based on how new the file is or how many people use it to determine if it is trustworthy. Here is the online scanner result:

I've been using global.exe extensively for more than a year and I'm pretty sure it is safe (and the report is false-positive). I have never had any issues so far nor I have heard someone to complain about problems.
