Hi, I'm running the above on Windows 7 Professional and occasionally I get a crash (usually just after switching to a different file tab in NPP and while FunctionList is parsing the file building it's tree).
I'll email the crash data I've captured separately.
Is this a known problem?
I am having the same problem exactly.
Hi, Me too. I try some instructions found in several articles like http://atutility.com/content/install-function-list-plugin-notepad-54 and http://blog.theroyweb.com/function-list-on-notepad-53 , but it didn't works. Any ideas? Thanks!!
In Windows Vista:
- Copy FunctionList.dll in C:\Program Files\Notepad++\plugins
- Copy C++.flb and Gmod Lua.bmp in C:\Program Files\Notepad++\plugins\Config
- Copy FunctionListRules.xml in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Notepad++\plugins\config
These are the same instructions that come with the plug-in.
- Copy FunctionList.dll into <notepad++ install dir>/plugins
- Copy Gmod Lua.bmp and C++.flb into <notepad++ install dir>/plugins/config
- Copy FunctionListRules.xml into
or if you didn't install with %APPDATA%
<notepad++ install dir>/plugins/config
It is not functioning properly in Windows 7, when trying to set the rules the program hangs. For example if I select VB I can not even click Try button as it hangs the program. I was able to Try html and click on some others with no rules applied.
Not sure what the underlying issue is.
Confirm the problem.
I tried to remove all rules except PHP, but this doesn't help.
I migrated to SourceCookifier. It is great analog for FunctionList plugin, but without serious bugs.
It's not obvious, but try this… Settings -> Preferences -> Language Menu/Tab Settings -> Make language menu compact box.
Indeed, not obvious BUT it worked for me (with version 5.9.8 if npp)
I have migrated to SourceCookifier too.
Function list 2.1 hangs (up to "50%" indicated) with VHDL and crashes when selecting other language.
Function List 2.01 crashes, npp (from 5.8 to 6.3.2) doesn't launch.
