Y-14 PHP / News: Recent posts

yPE 1.0 Alpha 1 has been Released! This minimally tested release has been dubbed the "Preview of Greatness" release. I wanted to release something to show people that something is going on here. I hope this will spark a little interest in the project. I may be posting some "help wanted" ads for testers a little later, so keep your eyes open. Feel free to post any bugs that you encounter!

yPE (Your PHP Extentions) 1.0 Alpha 1-cvs has been commited into the cvs repostory. Currently it has a DB Abstraction Module that works with MySQL (little testing) and PostgreSQL (untested). I plan on adding more modules to it in the future so that it can rival PEAR.

For now I want to halt netBB's Development. I may reintroduce it next year as "yBB". For now I would like to explore PHP5's OOP and try out a couple of ideas that are floating around in my head. I may come out with a useful tool for y'all.

Finally after months of waiting; netBB Pre Alpha 5 is in the CVS. We've got a new project started because the old was of no use to us anymore, the cvs we trashed. Pre Alpha 5 is a complete rewrite from the unrealsed PreAlpha 4 (BooBoo Version). Please "checkout" a copy of PreAlpha 5 and hollar at me on the forums or tracker. Give me your input!
