Rules for generating edges between tiles and generating walls

When inserting tiles from a bitmap, edges between tiles and walls (optional) are generated automatically according to the given rules. By default, rules created by collecting statistics from all maps in single player mode are used.
You can change the current rules or create new ones.

1) Window for editing rules
To open the rules editing window, click the Rules... button.

2) Edge Rules
In the window that opens, select the "Tiles -> Edges" page.

The "Rule Pattern" combo box contains the current set of rules. By default, the general set of rules "Common" is selected (it contains the general rules for all single-player maps). You can change the rule set to rules for any single single player map.

Most of the window is occupied by a multi-line field with rules. Each rule is a line that contains three words:

a) The name of the tile from which the edge will be created
b) The name of the tile where the edge will be created
c) Edge name

You can change the current rules. For example,

RugBlueDark RedwoodFloor RugTanLightEdge

this line means that when going from RugBlueDark to RedwoodFloor RugTanLightEdge will be inserted.
The result looks like this:

You can change RugTanLightEdge to RugWhiteEdge

RugBlueDark RedwoodFloor RugWhiteEdge

And get this result:

2) Rules for creating walls

When activating the Walls option on the Tiles page, walls will be automatically created along with the tiles. Walls will only be created on the borders of tiles and empty space, not on the borders between tiles.
To open the rules for walls, in the Image Pasting Rules window select the Tiles -> Walls page.
Editing rules for walls is similar to rules for edges.
Each line contains a rule consisting of two words:

a) The name of the tile on the border of which the wall will be created
b) Name of the wall

3) Rules creation mode
You can create rules for edges or walls automatically. To do this, check the Rule Making Mode box on the corresponding page and copy the section of the map you are interested in. Rules will be automatically generated from the copied region.

You can save the new rules by clicking the Save as... button.
