#50 Hanging up sometimes

v1.0 (example)

My laptop hangs up something about every 2-3 hours when I'm using notion wm. When I'm using standard ubuntu's wm it doesn't happens. When could I read any notion logs? How could I understand what happens? After hanging up neither keyboard nor touchpad answers.

That's a serious issue, thanks for reporting.

Notion writes its logging to stdout/stderr. Where this ends up depends on your distribution/configuration, for me it's in ~/.xsession-errors .

When the problem occurs, can you still switch to a text vt with 'ctrl-alt-f1'? (perhaps first check that this is enabled on your system at all). If you can still use a vt, can you check with 'top' whether perhaps notion (or something else) is using up all your CPU or all your memory? If not, perhaps you can monitor to see if CPU/memory is on the rise right before a hang?
