Hi, I'm not sure this is the right place to post this…
I'm using notepad++ 's "find in files" option to search lots of big log files (over 1 gb in size) - which works perfectly.
However, when I forget to close them when I shut down Notepad++ it doesn't start up, supposedly because it's trying to load the big files again. Is there something that can be done about this?
I was looking for some command line that loads the program with no open files but couldn't find it.
Normally this is no problem (although for me it rarely comes in handy) but when working with several big files it's not working..
With an older version of Notepad++ (around 5.5) I was able to open big files (>1Gb). For some reason (expecting performance impovements with big files) I decided to upgrade to the newest, version. I jave just tried 5.8.1 and 5.8.2. These will not let me open a 400Mb file anymore. Forget about 1Gb.
Has this been done intentionally? I would appreciate having this wonderful feature back.
