Very handy feature is file comparing. When you compare 2 files you get new, 3rd window in which same content will be shown normaly and different parts will be shown i.e. with different background colors. Possibillity of editing in same window will be nice, but not necessary.
Add this and Clip collections and I'll start using this program instead of EditPad Pro (trail ;( ).
If there is no plan to include compare file function for notepad++ , would somebody make a plugin to integrate winmerge or kdiff into Notepad++? I believe it is quite important and useful for a good editor.
I seconded this proposal. File comparing will be greatly helpful, especially, there's already diff syntax highlight....
An easy way of meeting this request would be to provide some integration with WinMerge. It's an excellent open source diff tool which I've been using for years (as far as I'm a reference, that is). This would avoid Notepad++ devs reinventing the wheel.
Can I include WinMerge into Notepad++?
What about using kdiff instead?
Much more robust then winmerge...
