    Hello,

I searched on this forum and I couldn't find but one person talking about this but when I clicked on the link, nothing was there. Anyway, does NP++ have a plug-in or support for BBCode?

You are not alone. I came here to ask the same thing. Judging from the lack of response though…

    Hi,
I'm here for the same. Could you please add a BB code highlighting and language reference pls?

It could be achieved by a modified HTML template.

    More info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBCode

    Thx in advance, L

I suspect that one of the problems in developing a BBCode plug-in is that it's a non-standardised language. That is to say, there are numerous variants and no "correct" implementation. They all share some common features, eg.  for bolding, but there are multiple ways of using the URL, Strikethrough, and quote tags on different boards.

I'd still love to see this done and I'm sure that a list of variant tags could be assembled if someone was willing to code a plug-in for it, but the non-standardised nature of BBCode is a notable barrier.

    Hi,
    thanks for the answer.
Send me a HTML plugin source and I'll create a BB language plugin out of it, the base codes for bold and such are "standard" - let's say.
I can trim the file to support basic BB code only and forget about the complicated stuff.
