After updating to version 5.1, I was told that the following plugins would no longer work and needed to be deleted:
Will the plugins be updated at all to work with the new version?
Same Here and I need 3 of those plugins:
When do these plugins support UNICODE?
In the meanwhile you can download version 5.1 ANSI, which is compatible with every plugin. You can find it in the .zip file. If you need those plugins, you don't need to downgrade to 5.0.3 (or any older version). I'm saying this because I've noticed that a lot of people are not aware of the fact that there is also an up-to-date ANSI version.
NppExec 0.3 beta1 (Unicode) will be released in the November, I think. This version contains a lot of new features, and everything must be tested. If somebody is interested in preliminary testing, please contact me (e-mail in NppExec -> Help/About...) or write your request in NppExec's forum in the "npp-plugins" ("Notepad++ Plugins") project.
New version of following plugins will be released in mid of November by me:
Plugin: Current State: Fixes: New Features:
Explorer.dll 100% ported Yes Yes
WindowManager.dll 100% ported No Yes
NativeLang.dll 100% ported No No
HexEditor.dll porting started Yes Yes
SpellChecker.dll porting not started No No
I release all plugins together if SpellChecker finally ported.
Thanks a lot, Jens.
Is there any chance that the spellchecker plugin will also support Aspell 0.6 (e.g. http://www.nosq.com/blog/2005/07/aspell-0603-for-win32\) ? Hungarian isn't in Aspell 0.5...
SpeechPlugin v0.2.1 now works with Notepad++ 5.1 Unicode
Great news, can't use N++ without a few of these!
Will your list also include Favorites?
all the best
And please update FunctionList, Jens! It's the greatest plugin of all! :)
i really wait for Explorer. its the best npp plugin and the most importatne for me
Then spend money to him, maybe he will work faster then :)
WebEdit is busted too. :(
Function List doesn't work in 5.0.3 but it is still listed at http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/download.php without any note. Please note that it doesn't work, or fix notepad++ so that it works. Thanks.

Both Function List and Notepad++ are open source projects, it means that the developers make their work available freely for you. If you want to trade your time to make things better, you are welcome, otherwise stop bitching, use another product.
the only plugin I still miss in unicode version is ConvertExt... I have no programming skills otherwise I would have updated it myself!
please could someone consider looking at it? many thanks

I do appreciate the time developers put into develop notepad++. But how hard is it to note that a plug-in listed at the official website isn't compatible with the latest version? No user that downloads Function List can get it to work and won't know why! Just because you can't be bothered spending 5 minutes adding a note about it, I have to spend 1 hour scratching my head?
