When I set my XML document to be encoding="utf-16", and while the encode setting in the format menu is UCS-2 Little Endian (changing to Big Endian doesn't work) the XML syntax checker complains that "Document labelled UTF-16 but has UTF-8 content". btw, shouldn't labelled be labeled ?
I can confirm that an XML-File in UCS-2 Little Endian encoding (verified by inspection with Hex Editor) which Notepad++ identifies and displays correctly, is refused by XML-Tools' check option with "Document labelled UTF-16 but has UTF-8 content". IMHO this is clearly a regression.
Is the XML-Tools project as dead as it seems or does somebody still have an eye on this?
