Certain font styles not changeable

  • Aaron Cunnington

I have noticed that certain font styles are no longer changeable since updating to version 6.2 of Notepad++.

I am trying to change the default style so that comments in HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript are in italic. However, this font style is 'greyed out' and I am unable to set it.

I have noticed that if I used other themes, such as Solarized, I am able to change the style to italic without any issue, but for the default style it does not appear to be changeable.

Please could someone inform me if there is a workaround, or an XML change I could make?

    Many thanks.

I have a similar problem. I cannot even change my font. I can change it for the current session but if I close Notepad++ and reopen, it chooses the font I had before, not the new one.

    Very annoying.

Oh I have found a workaround. Close N++ then open it as an administrator. You should be able to make your changes, and it saves it next time you open N++

this should be fixed in v 6.2.1.
